Educational trip to Switzerland and France for School Students
From March 5th to 9th, 2024, another educational trip took place to Switzerland and France for the students of Platon Schools – Katerini. During the trip, the students visited the European Organization for Nuclear Research “CERN“, located on the border between Switzerland and France. There, they had the honor of being guided by Greek scientists and discovered the secrets of particle physics, as well as the operations and achievements of the center up close.
Apart from the visit to CERN, the trip included explorations of the beautiful Geneva, Lausanne, and the picturesque Montreux, where the students admired the enchanting sights and natural beauty. In France, the city of Annecy, known as the “Venice of the Alps”, offered a unique experience with its magnificent lake and beautiful water canals. A special surprise for the students was the visit to Chamonix, the wonderful Alpine winter resort with the famous glacier.
