Engineering Explorers: A Journey Through Innovation vol. 2

Engineering Explorers: A Journey Through Innovation vol. 2

Another one trip to Germany is completed, with 46 students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at National Technical University of Athens exploring the automotive innovation industry.

Led by Άγγελος Φανουράκης, they started with guided tours in BMW Factory, BMW Museum, and BMW Welt, followed by a private tour in AUDI’s facilities. In Stuttgart, they visited Perfect Finish facilities, Porsche museum and Mercedes-Benz factory. They also had the chance to visit Heidelberg for a city tour.

These experiences underscore the incredible opportunities that arise when academic pursuits are aligned with industry insights, preparing our students to be the pioneering problem-solvers of tomorrow.

The Mercedes museum was impressive, as was the BMW production line.

The whole organization. The program, the hours, the hotels, everything is perfect.

The BMW production line, the conversation at Audi and the perfect finish.

The fact that we had enough free time to go somewhere else

Visiting legendary industries and freedom of movement on walks every day.

Angelos and the company we made. The atmosphere is excellent and the activities interesting and constructive

The fact that everything was organized and there is a lot of free time

The production lines, the organization was excellent, the free time we were given in each city

The company and that despite the busy schedule we had enough flexibility to do whatever we wanted during the day and the departure times were very good in the morning. The production lines and speaking in the Audi are also a unique experience
